Well, I will have my public defense, the disputation, as the last requirement before ending my Ph.D. journey. It will be held on January 25th, 2019, 13.00 at Kollegiesalen, Brinellvägen 8, KTH main campus Valhallavägen, Stockholm.
I will talk about my dissertation namely “Data and Visual Analytics for Cyber-physical Systems: Current Situation and Strategies for Action” and I promise to be fun and informative. I think you all guess by now that I cannot handle boring, so at least one box is ticked.
The presentation will focus on what I have learned during these last 4 years about the cyber-physical systems, data, and visual analytics. I will talk about several challenges related to the industrial data in cyber-physical systems, give examples of different use cases that I have involved and suggest few things that I find very important in the age of artificial intelligence, autonomy, and connectivity. I will describe data and visual analytics approaches to overcome interoperability, complexity, and sustainability of the development and operation phases of cyber-physical systems and tell you a story about data. Data, that weird thing that many claims as the new oil. How ready are we, really, to use data to make decisions, automize those decision-making mechanisms and bring fully autonomous, connected systems to reality?
Come on, I am trying to convince you to come and listen to the talk. This is a quite early announcement, so, I hope you can make it.
